P.Maj. Plays Dmitry Kosyak

Dmitry was a good piper in British Airways Pipe Band

At a practice one night, it was noticed that he was having difficulty fingering some easy passages

A visit to the Doctor revealed the return of a malignant and, this time, terminal brain tumour

Dmitry returned to his native Russian homeland to spend valuable time with his family

This tune was composed to his memory by Pipe Major Roger Huth.

The pipes Roger is playing are Dmitry's, which he left to a band member who was very special to him.

The pipes are set to play at a low pitch of 449Hz, using a Lawrie chanter from1900.
